School started to day and Daniel was not in the best frame of mind. Could have been because some kids that go to his school in the year below saw us in a shop and laughed at him for having adhd. it was known by other children he had autism but it took Mrs M to anounce in front of all his class that he had ADHD and since then, a few aweeks ago other kids have been taking the mickey and as i have witnessed it with my own eyes i cant help but feel its MRS M fault for telling the class. It was done as she told him off which is not really acceptable so now everyone knows. I mean would she have said the same thing if someone had piles and couldnt sit still . eg. sit still i know you have piles but its no excuse. ... i think not. well got to fetch him out of school at dinner time so i will find out how his morning has been. Its really hard leaving him somewhere that makes him feel depressed and scared and all i have heard from Daniel the last few days is how he is worried about MRS M. Which ruined his last few days off of half term. Anyway not long until the summer holidays now. I bet if anyone from school reads this they will think how dare i write these things. WEll there is nothing wrong in writing the truth and we know what we know and of course they will always defend there actions as in the best interest of Daniel and the school and i know when i have spoke to teachers that they dont take in what i say so how can i believe they listen to Daniel.The fact of the matter is as they have told Daniel himself they think Autism is no excuse to behave differently from everyone else. How wrong they are. Autism is not an excuse its a disabilty which can be helped by the right treatments such as understanding while teaching until the teachers learn this every child that has Autism will never learn anything other than hating and not understanding school. www.nas.org.uk/campaign
